Budecort 0.5mg Respules (2ml Each) is used to prevent the symptoms of asthma (wheezing and shortness of breath). It is a steroid and is known as a “preventer”. You need to have a fast-acting “reliever” as well because this medicine will not stop an asthma attack that has already started.
Your doctor will tell you how often you need to use Budecort 0.5mg Respules (2ml Each). It is important that you take the lowest dose needed to effectively control your asthma. The effect of this medicine may be noticeable after a few days but will only reach its maximum after a few weeks. This medicine must be used regularly to be effective, so go on taking it even if you do not have any symptoms. No symptoms mean that the medicine is doing its job. If you stop taking it your asthma may get worse. It should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler “reliever”. To get the benefit from this medicine you need to make sure you get your inhaler technique right, otherwise, it will not work as well.
The most common side effects are irritation in the throat, difficulty swallowing, and fungal infections in the mouth or throat. If you get these, do not stop taking it but do talk to your doctor. You can help prevent these symptoms by rinsing your mouth and throat with water or brushing your teeth after using your inhaler. There are other rare, side effects that can be serious. Talk to your doctor if you are worried about them. In general, you should be trying to avoid situations that make your asthma worse (your triggers) and try not to smoke.
Before taking Budecort 0.5mg Respules (2ml Each), you should tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, any infections in your mouth or lungs, or liver disease. While taking it you may be more at risk of getting infections so stay away from people with colds and flu. If you use Budecort 0.5mg Respules (2ml Each) for a long time it may cause weak bones (osteoporosis) and damage to your eyes (glaucoma or cataracts). You might need tests for bone density and eye pressure. Ask your doctor whether it’s safe to take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Directions for Use
Inhaler/Transhaler: Shake the inhaler well and check the label for directions before using it. Take it daily at the same time to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Press down the inhaler once to release the medicine and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as advised by your doctor. Rotacaps/Transcaps: The capsule should be placed at the base of the rotahaler/transhaler and completely twist the mouthpiece until you hear a click sound. Then, breathe in through the mouthpiece deeply and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Respule/Transpule: Respule/Transpule is a small plastic container that contains a solution. Twist off the top of the respule/transpule and squeeze the solution into the nebuliser. This solution is made into a fine mist to breathe in. Inhale the medicine through the nebuliser’s mouthpiece.Oral inhalation (Powder): Check the label for directions to use. Inhale the powder by mouth using an inhaler.Oral inhalation (Suspension): Take the suspension to inhale by mouth using a jet nebulizer that turns the medication into a mist that can be inhaled. Inhalation Capsule: The capsule is meant for inhalation only; do not swallow the capsule. Check the instructions leaflet before use. Place it at the base of the inhaler and twist the mouthpiece until you hear a click sound. Breathe deeply through the mouthpiece and hold your breath for 10 seconds.
Drug Warnings
Do not use Budecort 1 mg Respules 5×2 ml without a doctor’s advice if you are allergic to any of the contents or if you have severe liver disease. Inform your doctor if you have/had tuberculosis, infection, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, peptic ulcers, glaucoma, cataracts, weak immune system, eczema, kidney or liver problems; if you have been treated with stronger cortisone preparation earlier. Consult your doctor before using Budecort 1 mg Respules 5×2 ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Generally, Budecort 1 mg Respules 5×2 ml does not alter your ability to drive, but in some cases, it may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Budecort 1 mg Respules 5×2 ml is recommended for use in children only with a doctor’s advice. Consult your doctor if you experience visual disturbances or blurred vision.
SIDE EFFECTS OF BUDECORT RESPULES
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Twist off the top of the respule/transpule and squeeze all the liquid into the nebulizer. It should be used right away after opening.
