AMCLOX CAPSULE is a combination of Ampicillin and Cloxacillin which belongs to the group of medicines called Penicillin Antibiotics. It is used to treat respiratory tract infections like bronchopneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, post-operative wound infections, postoperative pulmonary infections, puerperal fever and other infections such as septicaemia, pelvic infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and gastrointestinal infections, bone infections like Ex. osteomyelitis, ear, nose and throat infections. Before taking AMCLOX CAPSULE inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. AMCLOX CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless clearly necessary. Contact your doctor before taking it.
AMCLOX CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking.
AMCLOX CAPSULE is not recommended for use in neonates with jaundice and should be used with caution in children. Contact your doctor before taking.
AMCLOX CAPSULE should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years). Contact your doctor before taking.
The most common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain or stomach upset and skin rash. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

HOW AMCLOX CAPSULE WORKS
AMCLOX CAPSULE is a combination of Ampicillin and cloxacillin where ampicillin (has a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. It acts through the inhibition of cell wall mucopeptide biosynthesis during the stage of active multiplication.) Cloxacillin prevents bacteria from reproducing, which allows your body to fight only the existing bacteria.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take AMCLOX CAPSULE as advised by your physician.
For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow AMCLOX CAPSULE with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned on the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight and severity of the infection.
