Directions for Use
Tablet/Capsule/Extended-release tablet: Take it with or without food as advised by the physician. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Chewable tablet: Chew the tablet completely and swallow. Do not swallow it as a whole.Syrup: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the recommended dose by mouth using the measuring cup provided by the pack.Oral drops: Shake the bottle well before use. Give the suggested dose to your child by mouth using dropper provided by the pack.Granules: Check the label for directions before use. Mix the granules in water, stir well and drink immediately.Orally disintegrating strip: Place one strip on the top of your tongue and allow it to disintegrate. Swallow the dissolved medicine. Do not swallow or chew the strip. Avoid handling the strip with wet hands.
Drug Warnings
Tell your physician if you are allergic to Calcirol Sachet 1 gm. Chewable or dissolving tablets may contain sugar or aspartame, hence caution should be taken in diabetes and phenylketonuria (increased levels of an amino acid called phenylalanine). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their physician before taking Calcirol Sachet 1 gm. Higher doses of Vitamin D than the recommended daily dose should be used in pregnant women only when advised by the doctor. Calcirol Sachet 1 gm passes into the breast milk, hence breastfeeding mothers need to seek medical advice before starting Calcirol Sachet 1 gm. Calcirol Sachet 1 gm is safe to use in children when advised by the doctor. Calcirol Sachet 1 gm should be used with caution in hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, renal impairment, electrolyte imbalance, heart diseases, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D).
