Moxicip Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of ‘antibiotics’, primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections, such as bacterial conjunctivitis. A bacterial eye infection occurs when bacteria invade any part of the eyeball or its surrounding tissues, including the cornea (clear front surface of the eye) and the conjunctiva (thin membrane lining the outer eye and inner eyelids).

Moxicip Eye Drops 5 ml contains Moxifloxacin, which acts as a bactericidal agent that kills bacteria causing a wide range of infections. It works by stopping a bacteria’s ability to copy their genetic material (DNA) which stops them from reproducing and ultimately kills bacteria.

Use Moxicip Eye Drops 5 ml in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience common side effects like dry eyes, watery eyes, eye pain or discomfort, blurred vision, redness, itching and irritation of the eyes. Directions for Use
Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye cream/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes

Drug Warnings
Before using Moxicip Eye Drops 5 ml, let your doctor know if have a history of previous eye surgery and eye problems like dry eye syndrome and corneal problems. Avoid touching the dropper with bare hands or taking it closer to the eyelids while administering drops, since it contaminates the dropper tip and solution.
